All of the following events affected the first wave of rock and roll except?

a. Buddy Holly died in a plane crash

b. Elvis received his draft notice

c. Little Richard became an ordained minister

d. Pat Boone had his first rock and roll hit song|||I would not call Pat Boone a rock and roll performer. He was soft pop / Christian pop. Take out Pat Boone and put in some recognition of Bill Haley, Chuck Berry, or Jerry Lee Lewis. Each of these three were significant performers in the early-to-mid 1950s rock and roll explosion. If I mentioned ten pioneers of rock and roll, I would also mention T-Bone Walker who was probably the first performer to play anything close to rock and roll on an electric guitar (1930s). He learned blues from the great Blind Lemon Jefferson and electrified it.

Just because teenagers liked a performer doesn't mean he was a rock and roll performer. I can't even agree with the inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame sometimes. They don't have the guts to refuse people who were not rock and roll. It might hurt ticket and merchandise sales. Other categories already have or deserve their own "Halls of Fame" and many of the so-called rock and roll performers should be transferred there, such as:

Soul Music Hall of Fame -- Aretha Franklin, Al Green

Pop Music Hall of Fame -- Dion, Bobby Darin, The Platters, The Mamas %26amp; the Papas, Billy Joel

Rhythm %26amp; Blues Hall of Fame -- The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight %26amp; the Pips, Martha and the Vandellas. The Shirelles, The Jackson 5

Country Music Hall of Fame -- Johnny Cash

Reggae (or Caribbean Styles) Hall of Fame -- Bob Marley

and so forth.|||DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK|||c.
