Does Juilliard School of Music teach rock and roll?

I really want to go to Juilliard for college. But, from what I know they only teach classical music and I like rock and roll and could not deal with just playing classical music. So, I'm wondering if Juilliard does teach rock and roll. Answers would be much appreciated.|||Did you even bother to go to their website? This is a school for the top 6 percent of classically-educated musicians in the WORLD. This is not the only place like this - Manhattan School, Curtis, Peabody, Oberlin, and a few others continue to educate people in the highest forms of musical art. If you are interested in advancing your guitar skills at the college level, then you need to look at schools such as Five Towns on Long Island, in NY, the over-mentioned Berklee in Boston, and also do some more research on your own. To say the you "really want to go to Juilliard" and to have NO idea whatsoever what they teach there is pretty naive. BTW - to get into ANY good college music department, you will need to have excellent academic grades, and also pass a VERY difficult audition. This assumes many years of serious private study with a highly-educated (make that DEGREED) private teacher - not the stoner who teaches at the local music store. So - maybe you are thinking ahead - but you need a serious plan in place to make this happen.|||If you in your infinite wisdom believe that music is a particular type of sound(s) you have already sealed your fate to " FAIL "as a musician.
