Who was the first Rock and Roll band to play with a symphony orchestra?
I'm doing a final project on the the collaboration of classical and rock music, and i can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Any other input on this is welcome, thanks.|||It was deep purple not Beatles. DP made it a full orchestra with a rock band|||I'm gonna go WAY out on a limb here, and say Styx. Only because the lead singer started the trans-siberian orchestra.|||I'm almost certain that it was Deep Purple collaborating with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in 1969.|||The Beatles for sure.|||Can't say with certainty if they were the first to do it, but The Beatles definitely made use of a symphony orchestra on "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" (1967).
