Some people say that rock and roll is associated with the devil?

I listen to Hendrix, Qotsa, Stones, U2 and many many others but not heavy metal or anything like that. rock means to disturb and roll means to have sex. when rock means to disturb, what is it disturbing?|||I think this whole thing is crazy. Just because a band is not religious does not mean they worship satan. Its an era of sex, drugs and rock n roll, so you have to put it together. Its just a genre and yess it all came from the blues.

Seriously If rock was associated with the devil one of the greatest rock anthems of all time wouldn't be called "Stairway to Heaven" And that whole *hidden message* stuff was an accident, no one in their right mind would sit in a studio for hours on end to do such a thing.

Id say rock is a rebellion, where you don't have to conform to societys standards, live life the way you want to , do what you want and go with the flow. And to be opened to new experiences.

Quote from Jimi Hendrix

"Im the one that has to die when its time for me to die, so let me live my life the way I want to."

So its not really the devils music, the only people who think like that are the people who are trying to get us to belive it.|||People really don't think like that anymore, but in the olden days they said that because rock was all about rebbelion and drugs. They said Satan was tempting kid through rock to rebel, which obviously the church didn't want.

Also, I'm pretty sure Queens of the Stone Age are a devil-worshiping band... You can kinda tell. Still one of my favorites though.|||disturbing probably means something that makes you think

what devil come on.....

http://miketheblacksheep.?wordpress.com/ (without the ?)|||Some people are just full of it! Music won't disturb anyone who is not already disturbed. And Hendrix was some of the original metal, psychedelic at that. Do you feel disturbed?|||Its disturbing to older generations who were sheltered growing up|||Must be those uppity Christians again!
