do you believe the rock and roll world is more like a church or institution? and in what ways?|||Have to go with institution. Churches have specific creeds/dogmas that they follow, where true rock and roll is more of a "free for all, let everyone do what they want" sort of thing.
The only similarity between Rock and Roll and a church, as someone has already mentioned, is that their "members" do tend to be "die hard".|||for some, music (rock n' roll and other genres) is a "religion" / life unto itself.
religion is any dedicated / committed / married, ritualistic practice for the purpose of achieving mastery.
religion of god is to achieve mastery in all aspects god.
religion of music is to achieve mastery in all things music.|||neither. it's the anti-church and altho some say it's an institution; it isn't...it's about freedom and being different...once it becomes an institution it's no longer rock and roll..it's pop or some garbage|||...they're complete opposites
everything that rock and roll is.. church isn't|||No. Rock n' roll is anarchistic and badass.|||Institution. Rock and roll should never be compared to church lol.|||like a institution
it is run that way|||yes, the fans are hardcore followers|||yea
