What is some great, modern, non-mainstream Rock and Roll?

I've been looking for some good Rock and Roll in all the wrong places. I'm into all the oldies sorry to be vague...|||The soft pack,violent soho,the horrors,harlem,wavves,the futureheads,interpol,twin berlin,tokyo police club,the D4,the hiss,a place to buryy strangers,surfer blood,jets overhead,nukeateen.|||I have to say that's some of the hardest genre to find that's not mainstream. I'd suggest Dream Theatre, The Doors, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, you should try making your question a bit more specific|||Porcupine Tree. Modern prog rock band very much like Pink Floyd|||check out flickerstick ( coke, smile)
