How do stars get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?

Im doing a project and i was wondering how stars get into the rock and roll hall of fame. 3 senteces plezzz|||The process outlined above is true however it has been alleged in the past that the voting has been ignored in favor of inducting bigger name artists.

The Rock Hall suffers from the same problem as all halls-of-fame do. Once the immortals, the ones we can all agree on have been inducted then it becomes political. You start seeing the B-listers getting in. One huge example of politics in the Rock Hall is the ommision of Bob Welch's name from the Fleetwood Mac display. Someone with a grudge has kept him out. I noticed it when I was there and when I asked a staffer, they either wouldn't or couldn't tell me who was responsible.|||it has to have been 25 years or more since there first album.
