What would you put in the perfect history or music/rock and roll play list?

So I am trying to create a playlist in chronological order detailing the history or music while focusing on rock and roll. I know most people but just want to make sure I'm not leaving anyone out.


So please give me suggestions of artists and songs to put on my play.|||I'd be the one sticking Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden on there. I'll get the tape and gluesticks...
